This Isn’t Normal.

What a beautiful sunny day in Henderson, Nevada.  Well, it’s mostly beautiful.  What could possibly make the sky ugly?  The lovely blue sky is one of nature’s greatest gifts, of course.

It’s these ugly streaks on white going through the sky.  White streaks being sprayed from airplanes.  Some will claim they are trails of condensation.  The classic contrails do exist, but they don’t stay in the sky for more then a minute.  Lots of days, you can observe dozens of white, ugly streaks and, yet, see a plane with a small contrail flying close by.  The planes contrail is a fraction of the size as the other streaks and dissipates very quickly.

On some occasions, you can actually observe a contrail and a big, fat, ugly, white streak right next to each other!

I grew up a across the street from an airport.  And, about 45 minutes away from Dover Air Force Base.  I never, ever, ever saw these abominations in the sky.

So, what are they?  I’m not sure.  I can only speculate and won’t pretend to have all of the answers.  But, the one thing I can tell you with certainty is: This Isn’t Normal.
